The adoptive brother of Sabrina Ray has pleaded not guilty to charges related to her death in May.

Justin Ray is charged with Willful Injury and Child Endangerment.

He appeared in Dallas County Court Friday.  His trial has been set for September 18th.

Court documents state Justin Ray is accuse of "drop-kicking" the 16 year old Sabrina Ray down the stairs a month before her death, leaving her with serious injuries that made her unable to walk, talk, or eat.

Sabrina Ray died last month in her home in Perry.  The autopsy reports she weighed just 56 pounds at her death, was severely malnourished, and there was evidence of physical abuse.

Several other relatives are facing charge related to Sabrina Ray's death, including her adoptive grandmother, Carla Bousman.

Adoptive parents, Mark and Misty Ray are facing charges as well.  Their trials are to begin in August.
