Iowa's Northey to Co-Chair Reynolds re-election bid

Governor Reynolds has named Iowa Ag Secretary Bill Northey as a Co-Chair of her re-election campaign. The move comes after last week's news that the Reynolds-Gregg team announced staff, county-campaign chairs and digital upgrades.

Governor Reynolds stated, "Secretary Northey will do a tremendous job as a state co-chair. He is an active farmer and tireless advocate for agriculture. The Secretary deeply understands our steadfast focus on building strong rural communities across the state. His international trade expertise also is valued as we continually promote Iowa's quality products and trusted brand abroad."

This week, Cedar Rapids Mayor announced he's jumping into the race, creating a GOP Primary.

The Asian Latino Coalition of the Iowa Democratic Party is hosting a Governor's Candidate Forum tonight, (Thursday)  featuring seven of the announced Democratic candidates for Governor in the 2018 election.
