Trump to Branstad: Have fun in China!

President Donald Trump stopping by Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids Wednesday to officially offer well wishes to the longest serving Governor in history.

"Have fun in China."  President Trump told former Iowa Governor Terry Branstad, who will soon leave Iowa to take his position as the new U.S. Ambassador to China.  The President thanked Branstad for his service.

It was quite a night for the Kirkwood Ag Sciences program.  President Donald Trump took a tour of the Ag program considered the best in the country, saying he was proud of the nation's farmers.  The President promised to create more rural broadband internet access and eliminate the death tax.  

President praised the Kirkwood Ag program while assuring students they have the "best people in the world" working on their behalf to allow future success.

Cabinet Members Sonny Purdue and Wilbur Ross were with the President and former Governor Branstad, along with Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and Iowa Ag Secretary Bill Northey.
