West Des Moines bank robber 'wanna-be' sought

West Des Moines Police are asking for your help finding someone who might've been planning a bank robbery.

Just after 8 Wednesday morning, officers were sent to the Marine Credit Union on 9th street on what workers thought was an attempted robbery.  A black man with a hoodie, sunglasses and red bandana over his face attempted to enter the bank.  But, when he realized it wasn't open, he left the area.

Later that same hour, a police officer was at another bank warning employees about what had happened earlier, when a black man matching the first description entered the bank.  When he saw the officer, the man turned and fled in a northwesterly direction.

Police are asking for your help finding a black man, around six feet, thin build.  Last seen wearing black pants, gray hoodie, sunglasses, red bandana and white "Air Jordan" type shoes.
