Crowd at the Varied Industries Building
The Iowa State Fair had great weather to usher in its first weekend...and the attendance shows it. The fair opened Thursday with over 15 thousand more than last year. 2016's Iowa State Fair had over a million visitors by the time it was done for the year. The largest attendance in Iowa State Fair history was in 2015 when over 1.1 million people attended.
