Life plus 50 for Murdering Iowa Deputy during jail break

24-year-old Wesley Correa-Carmenaty is now sentenced to life in prison without parole, plus 50 years, for shooting and killing an Iowa Deputy during a jail break in May.

He pleaded Guilty in court Tuesday morning to First Degree Murder in the death of Pottawatamie County Sheriff's Deputy Mark Burbridge.

The Deputy's children spoke before sentencing.  His son, Kaleb told the court: "This man left three kids without a father, one woman without a son, one woman without a husband, and three of the nicest people on this earth without a brother.  This man was the greatest man on earth to me."

Step-daughter Kelsey called Carmenaty a monster.  "You don't deserve mercy, or even to live.  You don't even deserve to breathe after my Dad took his last breath."

Carmenaty did not get a plea bargain.  He apologized to the family.
