A 21-year-old man was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition after being stabbed Tuesday night at the Iowa State Fair.

The Iowa Department of Public Safety says it was around 10:25 p.m. near the SW corner of the fairgrounds.

Iowa State Patrol Trooper Alex Dinkla tells WHO Radio News four acquaintances got into an argument.

"It involved four individuals who all knew each other.  It started off the fairgrounds property, and the four happened to meet again at the fairgrounds." Dinkla says.

Tay Ronce Denton is now listed in stable condition at a local hospital.

Seventeen-year-old Yuri Green is been charged with Willful Injury, and is custody.

Two other juveniles have received notices that they are banned from the Iowa State Fair.
