A northwest Iowa company is planning a big expansion, adding 300 new jobs.

GrapeTree Medical Staffing in Milford will build a two story, 72-thousand square foot building, breaking ground next year.

The company says the expansion project is expected to cost between $15-20 million.

Governor Kim Reynolds attended the announcement Tuesday.

“To see an Iowa company invest so much right here in Northwest Iowa, and plan to nearly triple its local employment, is encouraging,” said Governor Reynolds. “The future of our state depends on companies like GrapeTree that allow Iowans to put down roots right here at home, rather than looking beyond the state’s borders for opportunities.”

“We are so excited to announce our expansion in Milford, Iowa,” said GrapeTree CEO Tim Kinnetz. “We are proud of the strong commitment we are making to our local community by bringing new jobs to the Iowa Lakes Corridor, and by helping to drive economic development in Northwest Iowa.”

The new positions will range from entry-level to management roles.

GrapeTree currently employs 90-people, who manage healthcare employees in about a thousand facilities in eight states:  Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin and Kansas.
