Hawkeye Football Coach Kirk Ferentz joined us by telephone this morning to chat about the opening game of the season next weekend with Wyoming. Kirk said Wyoming is a good team and well-coached and will it will be a tough game. We spoke with him about his coaching with his son and of course, asked him about his choice for the starting quarterback. Here's what he had to say...
The First Gentleman of Iowa, Kevin Reynolds, was on with Jeff and me earlier in the week and he brought some homemade salsa made from ingredients harvested in the Terrace Hill Garden. I bought some chips and we indulged this morning. Tom Noller came in the studio 6 times to get more chips and salsa! That should tell you just how great that salsa was!
