Is Iowa's Voter ID Law In Danger?

A federal judge in 2011 blocked implementation of a voter ID law in Texas saying that the specific elements of the law discriminate against black and Hispanic voters.

So the Texas legislature changed the law.  Now, that same federal judge says...."nah, still no good."

Iowa Secretary Of State Paul Pate is busy implementing Iowa's new voter ID law.  He calls me just before a training session for election officials to talk about whether the Texas decision has ramifications for Iowa.
