Four Iowans inducted in Iowa Women's Hall of Fame

Four Iowans, including the state's first female U.S Senator, have are being inducted into the Iowa Women's Hall of Fame.

Senator Joni Ernst was elected in 2014, succeeding Tom Harkin.

Kim Reynolds is also being inducted, after becoming the first woman to serve as governor of Iowa earlier this year.  

Des Moines Councilwoman Christine Hensley is also being inducted.   She is the longest-serving council member in Des Moines' history. 

The fourth inductee is Jane Boyd, an Iowa women's rights advocate who died in 1932.

The Iowa Women's Hall of Fame Induction ceremony was held Saturday at Valley High School's Staplin Performing Arts Auditorium.
