CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - Cedar Rapids police are investigating after a body was found on the fourth floor of a parking garage at the Cedar River Tower Apartments just before 7:00 a.m. Wednesday.
A half hour before that, police say they got a 911 call reporting a man clinging to a pier in the Cedar River only a couple of blocks away.
Cedar Rapids rescue staged near the 1st Avenue and 2nd Avenue bridges. The rescue was near May's Island, in the center of the river in downtown Cedar Rapids.
There is no word from police yet on whether the two are connected.
