Creston man dies in southern Iowa crash

(Ringgold County, Iowa)  The Iowa State Patrol says a Creston  man was killed in a two vehicle collision west of Mount Ayr around 7:35 this (Monday) morning. 

The Iowa State Patrol says 51-year-old Gary Clausen of Huxley was traveling eastbound on Highway 2, when he drove through a stop sign, while checking his GPS.   Fifty-eight-year-old Philip Swanson was traveling north on Highway 25, when he struck the trailer of Clausen's vehicle.  Swanson was pronounced dead at the scene.  Clausen was not injured.
