Three truck drivers hurt in western Iowa crash

Three truck-drivers are recovering from injuries in a wreck early yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon on Highway 30 in Harrison County in western Iowa.

The Iowa State Patrol says a semi, driven by 58-year-old Robert White of Woodbine was headed south, when he made left turn on Redwood, south of Woodbine.  His semi  was rear-ended by a second semi, driven by 25-year-old Tamra Bonny of Omaha.

White's truck was pushed into the path of a northbound semi, driven by 49-year-old Timothy Watson of Sweetwater, Tennessee.

The third truck rolled and blocked the highway.

Bonny was flown to an Omaha hospital, the other drivers were transported to Missouri Valley Hospital ground ambulance.

The State Patrol says all drivers were wearing seat-belts, which likely saved their lives.
