Ames, Iowa man gets 25 years for HyVee Drug robbery

(Nevada, Iowa)  An Ames man has been sentenced in Story County Court to 25 years in prison, for robbing the Ames HyVee drug store July 14th.

Ames Police say during the robbery, 37-year-old Noah Sanderson told the clerk he had a knife and did not want to have to use it.   

He demanded cash and ran, but was arrested a short time later.  The HyVee Drug Store on Main Street in Ames, is located very near the Ames Police Department.

Most of the money was recovered and there were no injuries.
