West Des Moines store owner indicted for attempted child porn

(Des Moines, Iowa)  A West Des Moines store owner has been charged with attempted production of child pornography.  Forty-eight-year-old Robert Kuhn, owner of Wayback Records, was indicted November 28th and has been detained.

Kuhn faces between 15-30-years in prison, a 250-thousand dollar fine, or both, up to life of supervised release, restitution, forfeiture and registration as a sex offender.

The charge stems from an incident in August 2017, in which a minor employee of Kuhn's found a hidden video camera placed by him in the bathroom where he had sent her to undress and try on clothing sold by the store.

During the detention hearing, it was  disclosed that law enforcement also discovered videos of other females disrobing on the camera  when it was recovered by law enforcement.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security-HSI is investigating the matter, and requests any people who have used the changing room / rest room at the store and believe they may have been surreptitiously recorded disrobing, or otherwise victimized, to call Special Agent Aaron  Simon at (515) 323-2425.
