(Des Moines, Iowa) Investigators say a fire, that destroyed Plaza Lanes bowling alley in Des Moines Monday was accidental.
Local investigators, along with the National Response Team of the ATF, photographed, documented, and sifted through evidence. The investigation continues, but officials say all evidence and current information suggests the fire was accidental in nature. Crews were called to battle the fire early Monday morning, and remained on the scene well into the night, knocking down hot spots.
Owners of the bowling alley have vowed to rebuild the business, which had been at the Douglas Avenue location for 60-years.
