Iowa skiers and tubers brave frigid temps

(BOONE, Iowa)    Seven Oaks General Manager and Co-Owner, Joel Bryan says they've been going through a lot of hot chocolate and coffee, but despite the cold temperatures, people have been coming to the Boone recreational facility to ski and enjoy tubing down their hills.

Bryan says guests typically go outside for about a half hour at a time, then come in and warm-up, before venturing out again.  He says as long as people dress in layers, and take breaks, they should be able to handle the cold weather.

He says Seven Oaks crews worked through Christmas, converting millions of gallons of water into snow, and all of their skiing and tubing runs are open.
