Des Moines mom charged offered plea deal

(DES MOINES, IOWA)  A Des Moines woman, charged with child endangerment, after her kids were left home alone in filthy conditions, will have a plea hearing February 8th.  Twenty-six-year-old Destinee Miller was charged in October, after her three young children were found covered in feces, and wandering outside alone, at her home in the 100 block of Fulton Drive.

Investigators found eight dogs, sick with parvo and unsanitary living conditions in the home.

Miller was later charged with domestic abuse assault, accused of stabbing her boyfriend.   She pleaded guilty to a lesser charge in that case.

Polk County Attorney’s Office says if Miller pleads guilty to neglect or abandonment of a dependent person, the three child  endangerment charges will be dropped.
