(SHENANDOAH, Iowa)  Two people are behind bars after allegedly getting into a scuffle with law enforcement on Tuesday in Shenandoah, Iowa.

Authorities say 46 year old Robert White, of Omaha, and 24 year old Elizabeth Harvey, of Clarinda, are accused of trying to steal items from the Orschlen Farm and Home Store.

A deputy allegedly saw the pair and tried to stop the two when White got into a physical altercation with the deputy.

With help from Harvey, White was able to break loose from the deputy and the two fled with the merchandise.

Thanks to tips, investigators were able to track White and Harvey to a home in Clarinda where they were arrested. They both face charges of Third Degree Theft and Assault on a Police Officer.
