Des Moines-bound driver on I-80 busted for drugs

(OMAHA, Nebraska)  A California man who says he was driving to Des Moines, was stopped on I-80 in Omaha Thursday night, and busted for drugs.

Our news partner, KFAB Radio in Omaha reports a Douglas County Nebraska Sheriff's Deputy pulled over the driver, and became suspicious, and deployed his K9.  

 "Fletch" detected  drugs near the rear cargo area. The deputy found 23 heat sealed bags containing nearly 27 lbs of suspected marijuana. He also found 2000 vials of suspected hash oil. 

The driver, 33 year old Aaron Shier of California, was arrested and booked into the Douglas County Jail.

This was the third drug arrest in as many nights for the arresting Deputy. Over the last three nights, 49 lbs of marijuana, 3 lbs of crystal methamphetamine, 2000 vials of hash oil and prescription fentanyl doses were taken off the street.
