Remember this guy? He's the Science Teacher (Robert Crosland) that fed the sick puppy to the snapping turtle. Well, there has been an update...after hearing of the incident, Jill Parrish, a local animal activist complained to the sheriff’s department. Authorities seized the snapping turtle from Preston Junior High and it was eventually euthanized. What’s more is that students and teachers have gathered more than 2,000 signatures to save the teacher, Robert Crosland from being fired over animal cruelty. Some parents feel the teacher did the right thing by taking the puppy out of its misery.
What was accomplished by euthanizing the turtle? Plus, feeding a live puppy to a turtle, even though sick, is not putting the puppy out of it's misery...it's torture! Putting it out of it's misery would be to euthanize the puppy?
