Bodies of Iowa family that died in Mexico return to Iowa

CRESTON, Iowa - Family members say the bodies of an Iowa family of four who died in Mexico will be brought back to Iowa this week, likely on Wednesday.

A funeral is being planned at Southwestern Community College in Creston, about an hour-and-a-half southwest of Des Moines.

More tests are underway to determine what toxic gases killed an Iowa family of four found deceased in a vacation condo in Mexico Friday.

An autopsy done in Mexico says the Sharp family members were probably dead for 36 to 48 hours before their bodies were found.  The coroner said they died from breathing toxic gases, but didn't know yet which gases.

Mexican police investigators say suicide and violence have been ruled out.

A vigil was held Saturday night in Creston to remember Kevin and Amy Sharp, and their two children Sterling, and Andrianna.
