Couple charged in Grimes, Iowa apartment robbery

(GRIMES, Iowa)  A central Iowa man and woman are accused of holding a woman at gunpoint, assaulting her, and taking items from her Grimes apartment, in the 1000 block of SE 11th Street.  Deputies were sent to the location at 5 a.m. Sunday on a report of a possible robbery.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office says 33-year-old-Danielle Dawson of Grimes and 29-year-old Andrew Wickett of Madrid are charged in an early Sunday morning robbery in southeast Grimes.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office says the two were found at Wickett's address in Madrid, and were arrested and charged with Robbery, Willful Injury, Theft, and False  Imprisonment.   Dawson was also wanted for Parole  Violation.

Deputies say the Dawson and Wickett knew the woman in the apartment, and it was not a random act.
