Starved Perry, Iowa teen's adoptive grandmother gets prison time

(ADEL, Iowa)  The adoptive grandmother of a starved Perry teenager, who died last year, has pleaded guilty in connection with the teen's abuse. 

Sixty-three-year-old Carla Bousman has been sentenced in Dallas County Court to 20-years in prison.   

Bousman was found guilty of false imprisonment, neglect, obstruction, accessory after the fact, and child endangerment.   Sabrina Ray weighed just 56-pounds when she died.    

Her  adoptive parents, Marc and Misty Ray, are each charged with murder in the teen’s death.  Their trial date has not yet been set.
