WAUKEE, Iowa — A party bus ran off the highway and overturned with two dozen passengers backing up traffic on Interstate 80 west of Des Moines Saturday afternoon.
The bus overturned just before Exit 117 near Grand Prairie Parkway on I-80 westbound. The Iowa State Patrol tells WHO Channel 13 that 20-25 people were on the bus at the time of the crash, but no one was seriously injured.
The early investigation indicates the cause was a mechanical issue, not human error. The Iowa Department of Transportation will inspect the vehicle to confirm the suspicion.
