Man leads Council Bluffs, Iowa Police on wild chase

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa- A man's facing charges after leading Council Bluffs Police on a high speed chase on and off I-29 this (Tuesday) morning.

Police tried to pullover a truck around 3 a.m.  The driver, 28-year-old Clifton Wade, led police on a chase, before he rammed two Council Bluffs police cruisers.

One officer fired his gun,  hitting Wade in the arm.   He was treated at a local hospital for a gunshot wound.   

Two officers involved were treated and released from the hospital.   The officer who fired his gun has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.

Wade is facing attempted murder, assault of a police officer, and felony eluding charges.
