Anthony Bourdain's Love For Asia Argento Worried Friends

Friends of Anthony Bourdain say his passionate love for Italian actress Asia Argento had them concerned.

According to People Magazine, a friend says "he was crazy in love with her, crazy being the keyword." But it was a February interview with People in which Bourdain uttered some chilling words.  A Fox News story summarized them:

In February, the TV host also revealed in an interview with People that he had contemplated suicide before but said he would "at least try to live" for his daughter.

"There have been times, honestly, in my life that I figured, ‘I’ve had a good run — why not just do this stupid thing, this selfish thing… jump off a cliff into water of indeterminate depth,'" he said. "In retrospect, I don’t know that I would do that today — now that I’m a dad or reasonably happy."

Don't hesitate to click below to listen to my interview with licensed clinical psychologist Ashley Berges in which she talks about Bourdain's death.  She emphasizes that victims of depression often isolate themselves and ISOLATION is terrible for those suffering from depression.  She notes that Bourdain was often on the road away from loved ones.  Note that Bourdain says he's "reasonably happy."  One can speculate that the distance from his daughter or Argento plagued him.

That's an especially poignant thought now that a pararazzo who snapped photos of Argento with another man regrets selling them to an Italian magazine.
