Man shoots at Des Moines police with pellet gun

Des Moines police Sunday morning arrested a 21 year old man who shot at a police officer with what later turned out to be a pellet gun.  

Michael Garrison's charged with first degree harrassment and other charges.  

Police say it started shortly after 1am with Garrison threatening people at a home with a gun.  Then Sergeant Jeremy Sprague spotted Garrison leaving the area on foot. 

Garrison fired at Sprague with the gun.  Sgt. Sprague returned fire but noone was hurt.  

Garrison was taken to the Polk County Jail.
