POWESHIEK COUNTY, Iowa - There is a large police presence off of Highway 21 in Poweshiek County.

KCRG TV 9 in Cedar Rapids reports the police presence is between Guernsey and Deep River.

Property owners in the area tell TV 9 the police presence is related to the search for missing 20-year-old Mollie Tibbetts, who was last seen July 18 in Brooklyn, Iowa where she was dog-sitting for her boyfriend while he was out of town.

On July 31 agents said they were not backing down on the search for Tibbetts.

This morning her family announced a $172,000 reward is being offered for the safe return of Mollie Tibbetts.

Investigators have told TV 9 previously that they were confident of Tibbetts' digital footprint after examining data from her computer and Fitbit, but they did not release any further information.
