Autopsy: Mollie Tibbetts died of multiple sharp force injuries

DES MOINES, Iowa-  The Iowa Medical Examiner has released autopsy results on a body, confirmed to be that of Molly Tibbetts.   The autopsy has determined the manner of death was homicide, resulting from multiple sharp force injuries.

The office says further examination may result in additional findings.

Christhian Behena Rivera has been charged with First Degree Murder in the death of Tibbetts, and made an initial court appearance yesterday (Wednesday) in Powshiek County Court.  Bond for Rivera is $5 million, cash only.  He is scheduled to be back in court August 31st.

A funeral mass for Tibbetts will be held this Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the BGM gym in Brooklyn, Iowa.
