FORT MADISON, Iowa- The Iowa State Penitentiary is announcing a fall tour date for the Historic Iowa State Penitentiary. The facility will be open to public tours Saturday, October 27th.

Visitors can choose from a morning or afternoon session. Guided or self-guided tours are available.
The Iowa State Penitentiary was deactivated in 2015, after 176 years. Discounted t-shirts and cups are also for sale online, and the day of the tour.
Funds generated from ticket and souvenir sales go towards funding the Historic Structures Report.
