Former Iowa State basketball player stabbed in Europe

A former Iowa State University basketball member,  playing in Romania,  is recovering after being stabbed at a club.    Twenty-four-year-old Darrell Bowie and team-mate Joseph McClaim  were reportedly injured when a fight broke out Saturday night.

ISU tweeted "well wishes" to Bowie this weekend.   Bowie played for ISU in 2016-2017.   He's from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The Romanian basketball team (ACS Cuza Braila) posted a message on Facebook about the players, stating both  are communicating and have contacted their families.  Bowie is expected to be hospitalized in intensive care for the next few days.
