DES MOINES -- 46 charities dedicated to helping children in the state are getting $1.9 million from Variety.
The non-profit organization holds telethons in Cedar Rapids and Des Moines.
Grants for 46 central Iowa charities were handed out Tuesday September 25th in Des Moines. Another 16 grants are scheduled to be awarded Wednesday in Cedar Rapids.
