Iowa's Secretary of State says nearly 5 thousand people registered to vote during National Voter Registration Day Tuesday.
The office says 4,738 people either registered to vote or changed their registration information in Iowa Tuesday.
Communities Tuesday were holding voter registration drives-including at area high schools.
