A Florida woman became so angry with a man who refused to have sex with her, she used a kitchen knife to cut up his face, the Indian River County Sheriff's Office said.
According to the arrest affidavit, a man was taken to the hospital on Thursday after he told police that Katherine Nieves-Tavarez, 27, became angry with him after he declined multiple offers to have sex with her.
Police said Nieves-Tavarez was under the influence of alcohol when the incident occurred, TCPalm reported.
Police responded to the apartment around 3:30 a.m. early Thursday morning. A man, whose face was reportedly covered in blood, told police that "She hit me with a knife," and "I can't see."
Police observed that the man had several cuts on his face and took him to Indian River Medical Center for treatment, the arrest affidavit said.
Nieves-Tavarez has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and is being held on $15,000 bail.
