Driver of just-purchased SUV ends up in Des Moines River waters

DES MOINES, Iowa-  The Des Moines water rescue team was sent to a location on the city's southeast side this (Friday) afternoon, because of a report of a vehicle in the Des Moines River.

Crews pulling the vehicle out of the water say the driver told them, the SUV,  had just been purchased, before it ended up in a flood overflow area, near the SE 14th Street, Harriet Street boat ramp.   The driver is okay.
