Chris Soules pleads guilty to lesser charge in 2017 fatal Iowa crash

Independence, Iowa- Former reality TV star Chris Soules has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Resulting in Serious Injury, stemming from a crash in 2017 in which Soules was accused of hitting a tractor in rural Buchanan County.   The man on the tractor, 66-year-old Kenneth Mosher of Aurora, Iowa died as a result of the crash.

If the judge accepts the plea deal, Soules could face up to two years in prison plus thousands of dollars in fines.   Soules faced a charge of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, a felony.  

If the court rejects the plea agreement, Soules will have the opportunity to withdraw his guilty plea.
