DES MOINES, Iowa - A south side restaurant is shut down today, with a big, boarded-over hole in the side of the building.
Des Moines Police say a car was speeding northbound on Southwest 9th Street just after 1:00 a.m. Thursday when the driver lost control and crashed into the front of Henry J's Taco House at 2920 SW 9th Street.
The restaurant is now closed and there's no word on when it will re-open. On the Henry J's Taco House Facebook Page, the owners promise to post updates (see Facebook post below).
The driver was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
