JOHNSTON, Iowa- Police in Johnston say they've had several calls today (Thursday) reporting attempted phone scams.
Police say the callers claim to be from the Small Business Administration in Johnston and all eventually ask for money.
There is no SBA office in Johnston, and there's no connection with the city of Johnston or the police department, -it's a scam. A post on the Johnston Police Department's Facebook page reminds residents to never give personal, financial information out over the phone.
