Polk County Iowa deputy's vehicle t-boned UPDATE

POLK COUNTY, Iowa-  A vehicle driven by a Polk County Sheriff's Deputy t-boned by another driver early this (Friday) morning northeast of Bondurant.

The Iowa State Patrol says 33-year-old Austin Brose of Brodhead, Wisconsin, was driving north on NE 38th Street and was unable to stop at a stop-sign at NE 94th Street, because of foggy, icy conditions about 6:40 a.m. Brose' car slid into the intersection and t-boned a westbound vehicle driven by Polk County Deputy Haleigh Rees of Ankeny. 

Both vehicles went into the ditch, the deputy's vehicle rolled twice.

Brose was injured and taken to Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
