DES MOINES, Iowa - President Trump will address the nation tonight about the government shutdown.

The address is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. Iowa time, broadcast live on AM 1040 WHO.

Following the President's address, WHO Radio News will also carry the Democratic Response, presented by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

Today marks Day 18 of the partial U.S. government shutdown, brought on by a budget dispute between President Trump and Democratic leaders.  Trump wants $5-Billion dollars to build a border wall between the U.S. and Mexico.  Democrats refuse to approve the money.
