DES MOINES, Iowa- Police say an Ames man is in critical condition after being shot in the face early this (Friday) morning in Des Moines.
Police have arrested a man, who's now charged with Attempted Murder.
Police were called to the Lime Lounge, at 435 E. Grand Avenue around 12:30 a.m. They found 29-year-old Mohamed Hussein EL Mamoun of Ames with a gunshot wound. Police say he's expected to survive.
Police say they detained a suspect at the scene.
Twenty-eight-year-old old Mario Duprie Hutchison of Des Moines, has been charged with Attempted Murder.
Police say Hutchinson has outstanding felony arrest warrants from Colorado. Police found a handgun at the scene. Ballistics testing is underway.
