DES MOINES, Iowa - The National Weather Service is keeping the Des Moines metro area at 4-6 inches snow in its latest prediction map distributed to Iowa Emergency Management teams.
The heaviest snow in the Des Moines metro area is expected to start after 3 p.m. Monday.
Northeast Iowa gets a small downgrade from earlier predictions of up to 12 inches. The revised map shows 6-8 inches of snow is likely at Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, Dubuque, Mason City, and Decorah.
The Davenport and Quad Cities area is likely to see 3-4 inches of snow in time for the afternoon drive home.
