Leadership turnover in Iowa Department of Revenue during tax season

DES MOINES, Iowa - There's new turnover in the Iowa Department of Revenue.

Kraig Paulson's been appointed the new Director starting work Monday, after Adam Humes resigned Friday. Humes was only in the job for six weeks before quitting. He served as Deputy Director before being promoted to run the department.

Iowa Revenue has been criticized recently for long wait times for people calling with tax questions, and high turnover of Revenue Department workers.

Two years ago, the Iowa Department of Revenue was accused of delaying tax refunds because the state didn't have enough money to cover them.
