DES MOINES, Iowa - Severe storms are possible this afternoon and tonight across the region stretching from Eastern Nebraska, across Iowa, and into Western Illinois, according to the National Weather Service.
Davenport and all of Southeast Iowa is in that higher risk storm area.
Much of the rest of the region, including the Omaha, Des Moines and Cedar Rapids metro areas are in a lower risk area, but storms are still possible.
These storms will pose a risk of damaging wind gusts, large hail, and perhaps a few tornadoes as well.
