I-29 Iowa flooding again, lane closures, highways closed MAP PHOTOS

DES MOINES, Iowa - The Iowa Department of Transportation is warning of possible road closures in western Iowa due to new flooding.

The following areas are included: 

 • Interstate 29 near Honey Creek

 • Interstate 680

 • Interstate 29 between U.S. 34 and the Missouri border

 • U.S. 34

Most of these highways only recently reopened after being closed for weeks from earlier flooding. 

As of this morning, I-29 southbound is closed at the north end of Council Bluffs, but is open south of there to the Iowa/Missouri border, with intermittent lane closures.

I-29 is closed from the border south through much of Missouri. I-29 is closed from the border south through much of Missouri to about St. Joseph, Missouri.
