Hold My Beer, Register: New York Times Enrages Readers

After a week of fury directed at the Des Moines Register, the New York Times faces rage of its own.

It’s an unspoken rule that whistleblowers remain anonymous in the press. The “New York Times” opted to name the Ukraine phone call whistleblower.

That’s not sitting well with most people and #CancelNYT becoming the number one trending topic. The Times’ identification is the most public one about the male CIA officer.

My view: the Times continues to stumble in trying to appease its targeted liberal audience while attempting to keep up the appearance of being an "objective" news source.

Here's how executive editor Dean Baquet defended the decision: “The president and some of his supporters have attacked the credibility of the whistle-blower, who has presented information that has touched off a landmark impeachment proceeding. We wanted to provide information to readers that allows them to make their own judgments about whether or not he is credible.”

No, Dean, you are not asking your readers to "make their own judgments." You are attempting to appeal to folks who hate the President and oppose conservatives.

It was just last week that the NYT presented a report on sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. The supposed bombshell piece failed to mention that the alleged victim refused to be interviewed and did not recall the purported sexual assault.

My issue is that the media refuses to acknowledge WHY the public is losing faith in them. We keep hearing that the lack of trust is OUR problem.
