All of us have been touched by cancer. I've lost family members to it and have cheered on family members who are battling it.
So you can imagine that THIS story brought a smile to my face.
A North Carolina man is not only celebrating the end of his chemotherapy treatment, but a lottery win.
While on his way to his last round of chemo, Ronnie Foster bought a winning 200-thousand dollar lottery ticket. He started with a one-dollar ticket that won him five dollars which he used to buy the five-dollar ticket. Feeling extra lucky, he bought two five-dollar tickets, with the second being the big win.
The retired state DOT worker says part of the money will go toward paying off his colon cancer treatment. He’ll save the rest.
