Check out the hot hay market

375 tons were sold the market was sharply higher again top was $322.50/ ton on 4th crop big squares from Utah. A load from Idaho sold for $315 and another load from Sturgis, South Dakota sold for $32.

Round bales topped at $200 on low end grass and wet mixed hay no quality was offered.

As far as the straw market, for the first time in over 6 years not 1 bale of straw was offered normally we get 800-1000 bales / week but due to the severe Canadian drought there will be no wheat straw from up North till August of 2020.

Demand was excellent with more buyers than bales again, with sellers present from 8 states and buyers from 6.
